Travel to Rome, Day 3

Germany -> Bratislava, Slovakia -> Budapest, Hungary -> Vienna, Austria -> Zagreb, Croatia -> Dubrovnik, Croatia -> Rome, Italy

Day 3 is visiting a few landmarks that we haven't visits. One of it is to Piazza del Popolo. I really love Europe architecture of building squares where people can sits and people watching.

Pic: Now, I really want to ride on this.
Pic: Everybody seems to have a ride on this, so, so did we.

Then, we went walking to Villa Borgehese park which was said to be one of the beautiful park in the city, right next to the piazza. From Borgehese park, you can walk to Spanish Steps. Actually, there are short-cut from the piazza, walking up the stairs to get to Spanish Steps. No need to go through the park like we do. However, it's very nice to change the environment, watching trees, watching locals relaxing in the park, watching kids rollerblading or riding in small cars.

I think, at this time, it's weekend and we are very lucky that there are some sort of food fair going on there.

Pic: Sausages.

Pic: Butcher mistress.
Pic: All kinds of pastries.

Pic: Nyum nyum.
Pic: Newly cooked pasta. Hey, where did it goes?
Pic: A pig with an attitude.
Pic: There's the pasta.
Pic: The boys are going nuts on this :P Nice job polizia!
Pic: All kind of fun here.
Pic: This is a must-haves.
Pic: A drink from this, is very niceeee.. very fresh!

Pic: View of Piazza del popolo from above, in the park.

After a 15 minute walks, we arrived at Spanish Steps. As expected, everything gigantic and lots of people flocking here.

Pic: View from the top.

Pic: This is the steps, sometimes sloping and unbalance.

The best thing to do is join them, lepaking and soaking up the sun. There are also some illegal vendors selling pirated handbags and sunglasses, Prada of course. There are even a cops chasing action happen and the cops got some of their stuff ouch!.

And, I feel bad however, for a couple of japanese/korean tourists for being scam at the steps. I was watching the whole transaction. It's very similar at Mont Marte in Paris, where a guy playfully ties a string to your wrists and after finish tied, they ask for your money. I can see the guy faces changes when he realized, he being scam, but he had to pay.

And our camera battery flat, so, there are no pictures of the full stairs and fountain at the bottom of the stairs. Afterward, we just went for some lunch and hunt for some souvenirs. A bad dinner again and time to go back to camp.
