On last thursday, we went for some R&R at A Famosa Resort. Since it's not weekend, we get a nice king size bed room for RM 158 per night. I thought it will be just us there but actually, there's a lot of people staying at the resort and the theme park. The weather are not so fine, a bit of raining but still okay. The food inside there was bad (you know the type, overpriced, the-only-alternative food). The room comes with breakfast but it's a choice of 3 sets breakfast (none look too promising). I was so looking forward to a buffet.
We choose it because it's something we never do. There are a few parks there (water parks, cowboy town and animal safari world) and lots of thing to do (riding horses, go-kart, golf, flying airplane etc). I've only been twice before, once for an event and both times we went to the water park. The water park was awasome by the way.
That night we went to Cowboy Town for dinner and see what's there. The carnival parade was not bad (shabby clothes but fun). They finish it with fireworks display which are amazing. I never seen fireworks that close before huhuhu. Now I know why the entrance fee are so expansive. Other than the carnival, it's all bored. Sorry no pictures because all are blur; needs tripod and got bad case of parkinson hand.
We went to Animal Safari on the next day. It was not bad actually. A bit sad because some animals are unkept like the ostrich/imu. The elephant trainers got sharp hooks while working with the elephant though haven't see them use it. Just look a bit cruel to me. They got a few animals shows and wild wild west show in the morning and repeat shows in the evening. Most of the workers and trainers are from Thai especially the elephant trainers. My hubby like the wild wild west show because the level of difficulty of doing it (men and their action movie!). I like the elephant show because the elephant look like it having fun.. hehehe..
We only manage to take the safari ride in a truck and then, it goes around the animal place. Most of the animals are still in cages, though.

Then, we went to see the shows. There another attraction which is the monkey island where you took a raft to the island but we haven't got time.

In conclusion, it's been a fun holiday though, I think we enjoy it more than our daughter. (huhuhu)
