Guests from Germany

For the past few days, we had a couple of travellers, Martin and Chrissi coming from Germany where they found my husband page in global freeloaders website. We did explain that we had moved and now our house is really far from Kuala Lumpur. I don't think they realize until they had arrived here that far means "highly inaccessible" in terms of public transport until they got stucked for 30 minutes at our dear unrealiable commuter station KL Sentral while trying to catch one that did not come.

However, all goes well and they arrive safely at our house. The next day, we took them to see Putrajaya (the pink mosque, the prime minister building, bridge etc). Unfortunately, the mosque were closed to visitors at the time we came (Asar time). They got to see just the mosque courtyard and wear the pink robe that look like rain coat. (the other option was blue hahaha).

That night, we took them to eat at Aunty Aini's at Nilai to try the Malaysian dishes. Luckily, they eat spicy food. The sambal kupang was extra spicy that night. My hubby teach them how to eat using hands with the thumb action. They perfected eating with the hand thing and with the thumb thing, they found it easier to eat. And for once, I finished eating first than everyone else! :P.

Since that night was the night of the Malaysia independence day, we were supposed to get to KL and watch the countdown. However, we realized the time too late and rushed to KL within one hour. All the roads leading to Dataran Merdeka was closed and lastly we just parked beside the road near to Dataran Merdeka. We can see the fireworks from between two tall buildings and that's all. So dissapointed. Suddenly, when they saw the tourists, some Malaysian made comments in English saying something or other. :P. After that, we just went back home after a detour of mango special ice blended at Restaurant Murni, PJ.

All in all, now they know the unreability of public transport, how to eat using hands, malaysian hygiene of using hose in the toilet, to bring their own toilet paper and the many delicious Malaysian cruisine. They are currently in Cameron Highlands and will stayed until the 8th and haven't yet see Kuala Lumpur in detail.
