The Apprentice vs. The Firm

I never watch The Firm episode before. Apparently, the story is like the Apprentice where the contestants fight for a job in a firm. Anyway, I got to watch the Firm the other day where the teams have to promote and sign-up as many as possible customers for Tune Card; a prepaid visa card with privileges at Lim Kok Wing University.

The promoting was as usual, nothing interesting to tell here until the board room time come. If any of you had watch The Apprentice, you had seen how they fight to survive in the board room. They will list their qualities, beg to Mr. Trump not to sacked them and even back-stabing their team mates.

So, how surprised am I to find that in the Firm, when the CEO (ala Donald Trump), asked them who should be fired, this lady said, I should be fired because I have other commitments and can't concentrate on the tasks. Suddenly, this other guy also said that he also have other commitments and that he should be fired. He also said he didn't contribute much to the tasks each time. His colleague then, defended him saying that he improved with each tasks.

Don't they want to stay? Why did they join the tv shows anyway? Are Malaysian executives are all like this?
Surprise, surprise, the guy get fired. (*me in ironic)
