Last 20th August, my family and I went to this delightful, not to mention out of this world delicious restaurant smacked right in a village in Nilai. The decor is jungle theme or village style theme with trees all over the place and two "pangkin" places to eat. It almost like Naili's restaurant, not the Ampang branch but the other one (Sentul, I think???).
Pic: Your journey starts at the front of the restaurant with a small bridge leading inside.
It offers limited spaces to eat, so come early or reserve if you want to come during the rush eating hours.
Luckily, one of the pangkin places is empty during our reservation, therefore, we get to sits there, Malay / Japanese style.

Aunty Aini's and her husband are always there most of the nights. She's very friendly and always ready to talk to you in Minang language. The staffs are also friendly and if you came with friends, you can just tell them what you want to eat and they can adjust how much the portion of the dishes you can finish (for average eaters, not the 5 plate eaters :P). The restaurant offers Malay and Western cuisine although I haven't had the chance to eat the western yet since the Malay cuisine too tasty to be left in the equation. (like mother's cooking!)
Pic: The must-haves for us is the delicious and very spicy Masak Lemak Cili Padi Daging Salai. The downside is that the meat is not being slices thinly as the norm for daging salai.
Pic: The second must-haves is Kerabu Pucuk Paku. My hubby keep saying that it's like his late Opah's cooking which is high praise indeed.
Pic: This is one other dishes that we try that night, Masak Lemak Cili Padi Ikan Jenahak. Very good.
Pic: Ayam goreng kampung is also superb such as at ayam goreng kampung in Puchong and Kampung Baru near the HBKL.
For any that like burung puyuh goreng, it is also being offered. The asam pedas with Jenahak or Red fish also good but we like to separate asam pedas with gulai lemak since both taste are dominant. You can also try sambal udang dengan petai but I think my mom's one are better :P. The usual spread of western cruisine is available but I have to comment next time. The desert is limited, only ice cream with toppings and tapai are available. However, this is good since they don't try to do too much that sacrifies the taste of the other food.
The location is a bit out of place if you don't know the area but the journey will be worth it.

Pic: Recapturing the spirit of the restaurant.
Pic: More exotic plants.
If you watch Anthony Bourdain "No Reservations" shows, you can see that Malaysian owned chef, Chef Wan brings him to the restaurant also. Don't forget to see his pictures hanging near the front of the restaurant. By the time we went back home, we barely get to see the Malaysian International Fireworks that being held at Putrajaya because we spent too much time taking pictures at the restaurant.
