D' Italiane Kitchen, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

This is another Italian Restaurant in Malaysia and this one situated at the new Jaya 33 building in Petaling Jaya. I just know that the old Jaya Supermarket building are going to be demolish and replace with another brand new Jaya. Another historical landmark missing. Well, not really historical since nothing historic happen there but it is one of the old building existed long before my generation were born.

A little side track there. When we went there, it was just about 3 weeks in business. So, the owner was there, the staffs were new (as the trend now is to take foreign workers, i think this one is Philippines and don't understand Malay -- sigh). In terms of service, it is great, they pay attention to you, tiptop courtesy in putting down the meals and always smiling.

So back to food. Unfortunately, bread is not free here which is the downside of it all. We ordered Mushroom Crostini (RM15.90) for the appetizer which is good but taste a bit like pizza.
We ordered Angel Hair With Scallops (RM25.90) for my hubby which is good also but sometime it taste like maggi. Something wrong with my tastebud that day.. hehehe
The nicest, delicious thing is of course the one that I ordered for myself, Spicy Crabmeat Linguine (RM22.90). I love crabmeat, though I doubt this recipe are coming from Italy since it's spicy and a bit tailored to Malaysian taste. I fully recommended this dish since it's very good. No sauce here, just good old olive oil.
The nicest drink is also the one that I ordered which is Anything but the "Kitchen Sink"(RM9.90), which is the combination of several fruits (I already forget what's inside) but it's good. Fully recommend also. However, don't ordered Moroccan Mint since it taste a bit weird and I don't like it. The mint tea at Al-Diafah however is to die for... very good.
We have the opportunity to eat there again, however, the picture are not that good. My hubby got mix platter, I think. It's with giant sausage / frankfurter / wiener.. hehehe. This dish is nothing to get excited about. So is my beef steak as picture above. Don't know whether it's because of the confusion due to the noisy gathering (I ordered medium well but got medium rare) or because of the blood from the medium rare meat but it's just so-so. However, might be also, after eating at Colosseum, no other steak taste better. Will update on the Colosseum steak.. yum yum...

D' Italiane Kitchen,
PG-01B, Ground Floor Jaya 33,
Seksyen 13,
46100 Petaling Jaya.

P.S. It's near Jaya Supermarket if you know. You can go from federal highway and take exit at Hilton. Turn right at the traffic light. Go straight past the Armada Hotel on the right and Asia Jaya LRT station on the left. Turn left at the traffic light. Go straight until you see Jaya 33 on the right hand side.
